Re: REFLEX SYMPATHETIC DYSTROPY

I was been diagnosed with RSD after major foot surgery 4 months ago. So far I have learned that it is very important to keep my foot and leg active at all times. I have been told to avoid alcohol, chocolate, hot dogs and sausages and to eat a diet high of fruit and dark green vegetables. Stay away from ice and heat as it flares up the RSD. I have not yet moved towards any medications or nerve block treatments but may have to try it if this doesn't get under control soon. Daily physiotherapy has been the best course of action so far but I still experience swelling and pain at the end of each day.
