Re: REFLEX SYMPATHETIC DYSTROPY
To anyone is dealing with RSD, or who how knows someone who is. I am a 26 year old women who has had to deal with RSD for over a year.It started at my factory job as severe tendonitious and a sprain in my right(DOMINATE)wrist.I won't go into details but it proceeded up my arm to my jaw, because of disbelief from certain parties.
My entire life has been turned upside down.My wedding put off, children, career,everything...I get so depressed sometimes it is hard to breath, but I still fight.
I have gone through all possible treatments and medications.Believe me the pain is REAL.My advice about medications is this,Oxycontin,Oxycocet, some sort of epileptic nerve medication:tegratol,divalproex...and pantoloc(protects your stomach).Don't take the pain killers if you feel decent but take an over the counter pain killer:advil,or you will regret it!
NO INJECTIONS WORTHLESS.Believe me I had four different kinds. In my injured hand(oh the pain still haunts me).In my neck, vomiting and lost use of my entire right side of my body. Also my spine, none of them were worth it!
I have severe problem with cold but not to bad with heat. What works for you find out!Anything that helps is benificial, textures are tricky. Everything is hard or sharp, learn to avoid.Movement well..Push it, but you will get what your body is ready to give back.
Oh,listen to music, play with your pet, yoga and try to find something to smile about! Its your life. I know its hard but make the best of it.
