Great reply - I dropped use of PDMS after 5 days. Definitely helped slow down the process, but by itself, is not strong enough stop biofilm production - Will add back once a more effective solution found.

With that in mind, I'm looking into UV-C light therapy.

Been reading up on research studies, success examples, and testimonials. Promising for parasitic infections. 254 nm UV-C light has some skin penetration (including biofilm), although it is limited (a good thing in terms of limited damage of healthy cells). One must still be careful in not only allocating appropriate time, but of course protect eyes and uninfected areas of skin.

One physician states that he uses what is essentially a cardboard cut-out template customized to the patient's treatment area.

I'm not talking about Amazon.com grade disinfecting lights, but medical grade through a physician of course. Studies have thus far indicated safe (contingent upon dose/time/safety precautions), and successful...

Studies show 95-100% eradication of any biological infection, with minimal known risk (so far) - Again, strength of light emission, time, and distance from infected area all play into success rate...careful planning/application a must.

Will update if I decide to act on this.
