Thanks Zaro for your feedback (and sorry for the late reply).

I guess the reason I'm overly concerned about handling turpentine is because of some discussions I've read online, usually people working with oil paints, discussing "spontaneous combustion" with solvents such as turpentine, and also linseed oil for that matter .... where people would wipe up some turpentine with a rag, throw the rag in the corner of the garage, and the rag catches fire on its own without an ignition source.
