The same thing began happening to me in June. I have squiggling sensations on my brain. It started a few weeks after seeing a clump of worms expell during a bowel movement. I had no experience with parasites, so subsequently I flushed it. After that point my symptoms worsened and I can't seem to get a positive stool sample.
At first I thought it was Rat Lungworm because the endemic has come stateside. It is in fact a tapeworm/redworm. Rat Lungworm does go to the brain also, but it's a microscopic worm. I have big ones that I can actually see and feel on my scalp. I have taken 4 Ivermectin and a 7 day trial of Albenza. The Ivermectin did kill them, but the eggs hatched on my brain. Very uncomfortable biting and stinging all over my cranial area. Needless to say they gave me Albenza in the ER and the biting stopped in seconds. I hoped the 7 days of Albenza would kill them but it didn't....they crawled around my head, down my chest, to my heart like I was just eating candy.
I had a third trip to the ER with heart pain, had an abnormal EKG and a CT Scan. The nurse screamed when she saw the images of my brain, but they wouldn't medicate me further because I haven't been able to generate a positive stool test. I'm now taking a very expensive herbal blend that is making me sick. I saw a Neurologist 2 days ago who ordered an MRI, ...luckily he has experience with parasites. I feel he will treat me.
How are things going for you now? I've been battling this since early June. I'm starting a new job soon and afraid I'll be sick from die off symptoms by then. Tweet
