I don't see the point in fasting, there is nothing to say you have to fast, I don't think depriving yourself of food makes you a better person, it is what has been mentioned that dieting is hard enough but if you are a good healthy weight there is no need to fast and put yourself through it. You can have a perfect relationship with God without fasting. God has never shown me to fast and I don't think he will either.

I just think humans are meant to have a positive relationship with food and fasting is not meant to be. Only in history did we go short of food when there was little about but that was not fasting. Millions of people in the world go short of food which is why I appreciate the fact that we can eat good food. I don't think fasting is particularly healthy either.
