Well I had not originally realized that we were also posting in the atheist forum as well as the Christianity Debate forum. The question makes a little more sense to me now.

Atheists would not consider the deity of Christ, much like most cults don't believe in the Trinity. They can't see the whole picture of God.

It makes sense that atheists would see God as egotistical when it comes to worship and praise since the world is in the seemingly bad shape it is in. They would see no reason to praise Him. Not understanding what the mission of Jesus was, and "Who" He was. No hope for a brighter future to look forward to.

There is so much more to God than any of us realize. If He doesn't leave us in awe...nothing will.
