I think my lips might be the same as yours but there's still 2 layers missing. The reason I believe is, the first layer is already healed. (Healed by GIAB) When I apply aquaphor, I notice new skin the next day but sometimes I brush off the new skin accidentally and have to do this method all over.

Have you seen this thread about how this person healed his lips with aquaphor?

I'm trying this method and I'm getting results but it's not as easy as he says but it's definitely doable.
