Re: fasting to lower blood pressure.
My blood pressure measured anywhere up to 150/100 before I started 21 days fasting. For the first 15 days of fasting, my systolic pressure regressed back to 120 level whereas my diastolic was adamant at 90-95 level. Then on 15th day, I underwent enema. Soon after that (it maybe correlated, causal or coincidence), my blood pressure started to normalize at around 120/80 level. Today, after a week of ending the fast, my blood pressure measured at 116/73... which is the lowest I have measured in years.
However, my blood
Sugar never really receded during the whole fasting. It usually lingered at 90s. Even during the 21st day of straight
Water Fasting my blood glucose measured at 97 mg/dl. I have a strange condition where my fasting blood glucose is usually higher than random or postprandial. Today it measured 116 fasting (I was at a dinner last night) and 95 random during midday.
Overall I lost around 15 kgs, of which I have already gained back around 4 kgs. I sincerely believe that re-feeding is the most difficult part of the whole ordeal. I have avoided eating anything that comes in a box or can. I will be starting one meal a day (OMAD) diet, of which I hear wonderful things. My primary concern is to loose at least 15 pounds(hopefully some of that visceral fat) and keep it off.
I highly recommend Prolong
Water Fasting for most of the chronic ailments. However, if you are on medications, please consult first.
