Consistent high blood pressure during water fasting

Hi,

First time poster, long time reader here. I have been water fasting on and off for up to 3 days during the past 2 years. My primary concern is my high blood pressure which has been logged at 160/110 at the highest. I have taken clean route during the last couple of years (no sugar, caffeine, alcohol or tobacco - I have had pretty unhealthy sedentary past-boozing/smoking) and try to keep off wheat and simple carbs whenever possible (I have replaced that with buckwheat). I love meat but try to avoid red meat most of the time. The problem is that my blood pressure is erratic and can jump from 120/80 to 140/100.

Currently I have taken a 21 days water fast to cure me of my problem. I am on my 11th day. My starting BP was 140/100 and weight was 198 lbs. Along the way my BP has dropped to its lowest at 120-130/70-80. Today it measured at 120/90. I have been loosing weight consistently logging currently at 175 lbs - a total loss of 23 lbs. My real concern is my diastolic reading which seems to be persistent at 90-95 most of the time. I have read somewhere that the real result starts to show after 11-15 days.

I am 36 years old male. My height is 5 feet 10 inches. I have never been on medications. During the weekdays, I walk about 6 miles a day and continue my normal activities. I am really hoping to get rid of this chronic disease once same for all. I would highly appreciate any advice on this matter. This forum is a goldmine for healthy living. Thank you all for contributing and making this happen !
