Update
Hey there, still alive.
Still doing Epsom Salt. I'm moving on to a different phase now, where I let the skin on my lips build up. I've continuously exfoliated the skin without allowing it to build until now. The idea is that I've kinda let the
Epsom Salt do its work on the raw skin, and now I'm seeing if its actually had any effect by observing any change in the cycle length or the way it builds.
So I've actually been doing this for 19 days then. Any change? Truthfully, unfortunately no, not yet. I do see the
Epsom Salt is certainly doing something, as in there is clearly a reaction. But what it is doing I have no idea. It might simply be aggravating my lips. But it's doing something, and if I do really have a fungal infection underlying this, then I'm still hopeful and as optimistic as before.
I've upped my usage of coconut oil since the beginning. And I'll say I've noticed some things about it. Coconut oil doesn't really moisturise like other products. What's handy about it doing this thing is that it actually seems to DRY the lips pretty quickly, which is welcomed as the skin is prone to fall off getting it so wet doing this soak.
And also, I'm getting the feeling that what it seems to be doing is trap all moisture. Which leads me to the idea that actually coconut oil acts more like lip seal/plaster, the kind of thing that people on here have been talking about.
So actually it's helping me to keep the skin on.
So I'm on my second day of letting skin build up. I'll let you know how it goes if there's any changes.
