I think you are right about the male being wrapped around the female(s). What I haven't seen anywhere yet is how it branches out through all the passages in my head and appears to either be the same large one or else several that are connected together. That is why it's almost impossible to remove them. I'll think I've killed one, but it's either still alive further down or attacked to one that is. You can't pull part out without all unless you can separate and that is very difficult. Even then, they will shed their insides, leaving the leathery skin behind and I believe it is reused. Pure craziness!
