Mine are black! They don't move...until I place them in water...then they contort and writhe. It's horrible. Some are coming from my scalp and look like my black curly hair. I was thinking horsehair worms. I'm looking up stronglocides right now. I get the sand. And a lot of other things coming from my skin as well. If I apply any type of oil, stuff comes out of me by the dozens.
