you probably mean fish mox, which is short for amoxicillin. It is not the same as doxy, which is in the tretracycline class. Amox is a form of penicillin.

Both fight bacterial infections, but doxy's advantage is it supposedly works to sterilize females worms.

I'm no expert. This is what I've read.
