Re: 90% raw
Chiron,
I appreciate you sharing your experience. I did not know that Hawkins collaborated with l.Pauling and wrote that much on spirituality. I wish my schedule was less crowded so as to dive into exploring these ideas. I agree on the point, that it is best to go gently with one's internal tendencies and never be scholastic and stubbornly adherent to doctrines. I am trying to convince myself sometimes to stop doing things out of habit rather, than out of real need or by the call of nature and highest good.
I have been brought up in strict discipline, but they could not bend my creative mind out of finding ways of doing my own stuff as a kid. Now I am doing the reverse - using creativity to convince myself I want to discipline my appetite for example. I have strong physical reactions often times and I want to do a better job in respecting these signals. I had a whole avocado each of the last 3 days and it felt just right.
Chutney is smth I should do as well. Today I compromised and got a soup with coconut, lentils, potato, cilantro. OOh my goodness - it tasted delicious. I am looking forward to a coconut-pineapple blend for tomorrow.
Happy Mother's day!
DL
