It's not essential it's just easier to eat as food tends to be more of a muchy/softer consistency than meat.. I live in the UK ;)

.. I settled back with the coconut oil because it's easier to apply and even when scabs are delicate it's literally applied from dabbing it on.. the weather is nice at the moment so it's more of a liquid than a solid.. very easy to apply with a finger without smearing. I use the same coconut oil you buy for cooking.. don't want anything added just the pure coconut oil.

I searched for the term 'oil pulling' as I hadn't heard of it until you said and it looks interesting.. I suppose it could be a reasonable alternative to manual brushing, definately something I'll be looking into. I would thing a fair portion of the distrubance to the wound healing comes from the manual act of brushing.. it does for me.. no matter how careful I am.

Yes I'd say it's time to face this head on and accept it.. I can't see an alternative as I've spent a lot of my life feeling like I'm hiding out because of this condition.. it sounds silly thinking about it like that.. but I think because it's something I don't accept I also don't expect other people to accept it either.. this is the primary reason I've basically never had a long term relationship.. it all revolves around me trying to hide this from people all the time. My goal for this year is to overcome EC.
