longterm, you've been here long enough so I want to ask you something regarding "chapped" lips.

Have you read the posts between jsl123 and Daniel Miller regarding it? I think it was 3-4 years back and I remember jsl123 specifically saying that he had dry lips prior to developing EC and Daniel was saying that that may have been EC already, it's just that the whitening and peeling was just the final stage.

I'll vouch with my info here because I also had -sudden- dry lips a few months before EC, and I was picking my lips way back too. It's weird though that EC hasn't happened right after the sudden drying, because I remember asking my grandmother for chapstick and everything worked out normally. I barely used the chapstick after that (maybe even not at all) and I wasn't picking anything, just licking because gym and food stains. A few months later the bottom just felt weird after brushing and when I looked in the mirror, hell has started.

Do you think the sudden drying was already a sign of an issue itself as well? Because I can clearly remembering suspecting something weird when my lips suddenly got so dry, and I even remember telling my grandmother how weird they looked. I apologize if this has already been asked before, but I would appreciate your input.
