I definitely was picking some hanging skin prior to asking for chapstick, but it was minimal as well and infrequent. When I asked for chapstick because of the sudden drying, there was no hanging skin at all, just a really dry lower lip. I'm suspecting that this sudden drying really could have been EC as well because it was only the lower lip. Coincidentally, my EC also started with just the lower lip.
