Re: Diatomaceous Earth (foodgrade) rid me of intestinal worms/parasites

I would really like to pick your brain about all the research you've done! Lol! I've been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Epstein Barr Virus, Depression, & the list just goes on. I was a Physical Therapist Assistant for 11 yrs. so I do know a lot about the body & how it works. The CFS, etc. disabled me in 2009. I've been through H*ll & back with this to say the least. I've seen soooo many Dr.'s & my blood work thus far is good to go....but why do I feel like crap? It's a good thing to find out your blood work is good. I just feel like something is "hiding out" waiting to pop up & by then it will be too late to do anything about it. Im going to start a cleanse with diatomaceous earth mixing it in my smoothies. I want to give it to my dogs as well. I have a 10 lb. Chihuahua/ Rat Terrier mix & a 50-55 lb. Boxer. When I look online there are so many different dosages pertaining to the earth. I am 44 yrs. old & I weigh 127 lbs. Just incase you need to know all that. Since there are so many different dosages out there I thought I would start with 1/2 tsp. once daily for me in my smoothies (made with greek non fat plain yogurt, frozen strawberries, quick rolled oats, water or juice, vanilla extract, & honey). Then over a couple of weeks increase my earth to a couple Tbsp. a day. Is that a good plan? For my dogs I thought I would give the little one 1/2 tsp. once daily working up to 1 tsp. daily over 10 days or so, & for the 50-55 lb. boxer 1 tsp. daily working up to 1 Tbsp. over a 10 day period as well. I want to know how often should I be doing this? Every 6 months for me....? How often should I do it for my dogs? I usually use a triple wormer (Durvet brand which rids 2 strains of round worms, 2 strains of tape worms, & 3 strains of hook worms) from my local feed store for them 4 times a yr. & I have found that I have to keep using round worm medication usually monthly. My little one shows signs of needing to be wormed before the big one does. They don't walk in a feces infested area & I pick up after them & dispose of their waste. The neighbor up front use to let his dog come back here & use the bathroom right in front of my front door (it is all landscaped in rocks so there is no grass) & he would only pick it up once a week. Disgusting I know huh? The guy at the feed store recommended that I use bleach on the ground outside after I triple wormed the dogs last time. I used 2 1/2 gallon on the area. But.....now my little one is scratching her but on the couch, ground, & wherever & I gave them triple wormer on Oct. 30 & the guy at the feed store said to do it again in 2 weeks on Nov. 13 so I did. I noticed yesterday my little dog scratched her butt on the couch & she did it again this morning after she used the bathroom outside on the ground. I have checked her anal glands too just to make sure there wasn't a problem there & she's fine. Could I be the one that is transmitting worms back to her? She's one of those dogs when she's excited to see me when I come home that will kiss & lick me right in the mouth if I'm not careful! Lol! Anyway, what dosages of diatomaceous earth should I give all of us? I also read somewhere that if I take the diatomaceous earth I need to take Selenium too....? Tweet
