The name threadworm comes from the fact that although it is long in parasite standards (2 mm), it is only 0.035 mm wide – a thread.

Flukes also can infect the bladder, kidneys. They are flat and leaf shaped.

There are a few species of hook and other round worm species.

I would rule out Stronglyoides first.
