Re: HELP, MERCURY poisoned/ Exposure from Removal of Fillings.
If you don't do it in person, just say what you want and just don't try to "explain". Because it _will_ be awkward. If you feel the need to explain anything, how about "I know it's controversial - I've read both sides opinions and I've made my decision." Over and out.
And over the phone just the bare facts: where, when, what. All dentists I know are _very_ busy. Explanations are useless, they will have forgotten within 5 minutes anyway. Too many patients.
Each time I hear people have what is supposed to be a brief business(-like) conversation on the phone I notice how it keeps being extended and extended and extended... for some reason most people are _terrible_ and very hard to get rid of. The conversation as email:
"When?" - "Tomorrow at 10am" - "Okay, CU!"
The same conversation on the phone for some inexplicable reason takes 5 minutes without having any more actual content and it takes at least 6 attempts of saying "Bye" before anyone _actually_ hangs up.
Just keep in mind there are 5 people sitting in the waiting room impatiently staring at you through the phone :-)
