Re: Raw Veganism

With all due respect, I don't think a raw vegan diet is just about "avoiding meat".

For me, it's about getting in as much raw plant food as possible with all of the phytochemicals, fiber, water rich, vitamins and minerals in their raw unadulterated state as possible for healing and vitality.

Besides being an ethical issue for many, eating meat would skew this diet for me personally and knock my ratios out, sugars, etc. by including too much dietary fat, making it impossible to follow optimally. Plus, I don't want to eat it especially raw.

If you cut out meats, you think you have to go to grains and starches for sustenance, and those don't agree with many. BUT, that is why raw vegan is so often healing because instead of grains, you get your energy from fruit. At least that is how I do the diet, low fat raw vegan.

It's a finesse thing kind of and you can't lump all vegan diets into one heap, just like you can't lump all meat eating diets into one heap.

I'm sure you agree as it sounds as if you strive to eat as healthy as possible, even while including meats, etc. unlike most who are just eating SAD.
