I think that focusing on leaky gut should be started at the very beginning. Yeast produce their own toxins which is bad enough but the leaky gut causes as much and perhaps more problems by causing a cascade of allergies and autoimmune reactions. Stop consuming anything with gluten: wheat, barley, rye. No alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, etc. Things that heal leaky gut: COLOSTRUM!, bone broth, glutamine, slippery elm, DGL (deglycyrrhizinated licorice root). I don't think it is possible to have good health while you have leaky gut.
