Re: Diabetes Research Results - my goals - let's help each other

Archus,
OK, partner. Lets do this! I am at 232 lbs, and 32 of those are in my belly as visceral fat. My legs & arms face, chest & back are all normal.

Yes, you are correct about incurable bacteria acquired in hospitals killing people. There was a very frightening Nova special on PBS TV this week all about this. MRSA is one of those.

I have just reviewed many articles on "Visceral Fat Reduction." This video by "The Doctors" was really a frightening wakeup call:

Visceral fat fills the abdominal cavity in and around all organs, the worst kind of fat that leads directly to diabetes, heart disease & erectile dysfunction. All the articles agree that a strict diet and a lot of exercise are required to burn away this visceral fat. My goal is 200 lbs ( a loss of 35lbs) by years end.

I am on the treadmill every morning for 1.25 miles at my cardio rate. Also resistance weights for the arms, chest, back & legs. Also strict dieting. This has to work to get rid of my visceral fat.
