Hey there,

I have a question re Ascaris blood test.

The test I wanted to do is Ascaris IGE test. I asked the doctor for it and he said the test is useless because it does not distinguish between present and past infection (hate those gastro doctors who rely on ova& parasites tests).

On the other hand, I checked how they diagnose Ascaris in Poland (I'm Polish btw) where the test is widley used.

I'm really confused but I see the value of the test (since I have never treated for ascaris).

Please let me know your thoughts.
