i liked the judge. i think the cop really didnt have much of a choice but to go along. he really didnt remember what happened and was coached(re: reminded) as to what did. the perp is the one who jumped in to cover it up.

still, the cop would raid my house and shoot me on orders. the judge would still steer the jury no matter what. like you said, its baked in the cake but it also takes cooperation from all these others and they have to know what they are doing, no matter how sanctioned.
