cross examination

i didnt care about the officers testimony. i asked if there was any other proof, a readout, a time/date stamped printout or picture or anything like that. no.

i said i would like to see the tape again from the beginning.

they started the tape and we got through the first part and i halted it (i wish i could have had the controller but didnt know if i could ask and didnt want to make this last any longer than necessary). i said to the officer that this wasnt right and that i remember him being parked on the side of the road. he said oh no, he was traveling on the street. at this point i really didnt know how to proceed. i felt that pursuing that line would alienate the jury. i decided to proceed to the stop itself and glean something from that.

again, i couldnt make out anything that was said in the audio from the officers mic. i asked him what he said to me. he didnt remember. i told the jury that he asked me if i was in a hurry fro some reason. i asked him what my answer was. he said he didnt remember. i told the jury i was surprised he stopped me and told him i wasnt . i asked him if he remembered telling me he thought i was guilty because i slowed down when i saw him. he said he didnt remember. i aksed him about my grandson asleep in the back seat. he didnt remember. the second time he asked me if there was an emergency or something. he didnt remember. my registration. he didnt remember. he didnt remember a thing about the contact with me.

i was done with him.
