the prosecution presented the dash cam footage of the stop and presented testimony from the officer who ticketed me.
there was the credibility of the officer - he was on the force for 3 years and his duties were varied but mostly traffic. they showed the taped and he testified to it. the tape showed the officer traveling east on dawn and passing canyon road. a car was approaching coming down dawn street just like i would have been except they were in the left hand lane. another car was going east on dawn in front of the patrol car but it was not white, it was red or some other dark color.
the officer testified with crystal clear clarity about how he noticed me and how his calibrated gun clocked me at 44 miles per hour, just like on the ticket. all of this was covered at some length and in a professional manner.
then they stopped the footage. the prosecutor asked me if i wanted to see the rest of the tape. i said sure, i havent seen any of it before. the rest of it was the officer pulling behind my car and the ensuing conversation. the audio was so overdriven there was no way to make any of it out.
