Re: Healing leaky gut via flushing and vegetarian diet.

Wow, thank you so much for your suggestions and input.

i partially wonder whether a malfunctioning liver actually created a leaky gut for me in the first place. when i look back at my history of symptoms, i notice that the first symptoms i had were ones of low thyroid and adrenal stress just 2 or 3 months after i took myself off of antidepressants, cold turkey (And i had been on them for 11 years).
could it be possible that years of taking antidepressants actually weakened my liver, to the point where when i became very stressed, my body was not able to process toxins, and this led to a leaky gut?
what bothers me is that the functional medicine doctor that ive been seeing doesnt seem to think that getting my liver clean first and foremost is necessary. when i mentioned my high liver enzymes, bile reflux, and liver pain to her, she said that first we need to heal my gut and boost my immune system. the problem with this is that if i have a faulty liver, all of these supplements for leaky gut wont even get processed!!!

i am ready to start doing enemas, but i am wondering whether i need to clean my colon and kidneys first? or does Liver Cleansing come before colon cleansing? there are so many opinions to this that i have no idea what to believe.
