Re: Healing leaky gut via flushing and vegetarian diet.
I'm glad to see this post, because this is something that i have been dealing with personally. I have been dealing with leaky gut for almost a year now and even on a paleo autoimmune diet (for hashimotos) and with probiotics, l-glutamine, a digestive enzyme with hcl, and a digestive enzyme that supports the gallbladder, i still have not seen any progress in my gut healing. ive had pain over my liver for the past 4 or so months, with high liver enzymes, undigested food in my stools, poor digestion, and very dark circles under my eyes.
ive been told i have a poor functioning liver by a chinese medical doctor, so i know that it is something i need to address.
i think that my lack of progress with healing my gut is because my liver is so backed up. even with a very very healthy anti-inflammatory diet and supplements, without a healthy liver, i am not clearing the toxins from my body.
the doctor ive been working with has not focused on my liver at all, and says that we need to heal the gut first. the problem with this is that the liver is a part of the gut!!!
what are you best suggestions for working on the liver detox? im not sure that my body is ready for flushing yet.
any supplements to increase its ability to detoxify?
maybe once my liver is healed, my digestive system will improve.
