It could be dehydration caused by low aldosterone. Do you also have dry skin, feel thirsty and run to the WC often?
Do you drink water with sea salt? It helps.
Another thing is that with high adrenaline, when sympathetic nervous system is activated, the fluids are divereted to be used in transportation of oxygen and glucose, causing salivary suppression and in result mouth dryness.
Your ND is right, I used to be on a candida diet for a few months, I took antifungals and within a few days I was in bed with die off and really bad flu like symptoms, my body just couldn't handle it. It took me a long time to go back to my previous state.
I think it's always best to take care of the adrenals and blood sugar first, yeast will resolve itself and if not, it can be addressed later when you're stronger :)
