Re: HELP Adrenal Fatigue and Severe Anxiety
Thanks for the reply Piuma,
I'm a 26 yo female, how about you?
I'm sorry you are going through this, I know how terrible it can feel.
Estrogen dominance and PCOS are also my problems, I have hormones of a woman in her 50s! A non existent progesterone, low estrogen, low DHEA, high testosterone (my blood test actually showed low T, but saliva was high...I'm going to trust the saliva result since it matches my symptoms). I also have low fT3.
I tried progesterone cream in the past but it didn't bring any relief.
Also had a few weeks of accupuncture but again no effect..
My anxiety is on no matter what is happening around me, it seems to be unrelated to any specific events or worries, it's just there for no reason at all, 24/7. I no longer work or leave home, even TV being on or hearing people talking outside drives me crazy and brings panic. most of the time I just lie in bed, pumped up with adrenaline so badly that I can't move, talk or think, overwhelmed by fear. I have short moments during the day, when I'm just slightly less anxious (like now), that's when I go online and do reasearch, cause I know it's the only chance when I can actually use my brain and if I don't find the answers myself, I will never be cured.
It's interesting that your type of anxiety used to be mine about a year to half a year ago. I'd be unable to rest, relax or sit still, I'd feel the adrenaline rushing non stop and even though I'd be completely exhausted by it all, I'd HAVE to go outside and walk it off, coming home only when I felt so drained off of the energy, I could no longer stand on my feet.
But that was some time ago. Now I'm too panicked, weak, dizzy and nauseous to take a step outside. The weaker I get, the more severe the anxiety....It's like there's a fight inside my body. What's scary is that I'm getting worse really fast, I can tell the difference literally week by week.
The funniest thing is that around 10 pm the magic happens and I'm suddenly less anxious and having energy! For an hour or two I'm a different person. Do you feel better in the late evenings too?
I also get super hungry at that time, even though I have absolutely no apetite during the day. Do you experience the same thing?
I get those adrenaline rushes at night too! I will suddenly wake up, all panicked the second I open my eyes, it takes ages to go back to sleep!
I eat mostly organic, only whole foods, nothing processed or with additives, low carb, low sugar, fruits only low glycemic and very occasionally, the only grain is my oatmeal in the morning. I get protein and fat with every meal, I make sure to get a fat-protein rich snack before bed, I really can't think of anything else that could improve it.
I also never got relief from any herbs or supplements, I feel like it really could be mercury or other heavy metal excess. If it really was only an adrenal issue, I would have responded to the treatment. Or maybe mercury IS CAUSING my AF and till I adress it, it can never be resolved.
