Re: A photo of a small roundworm found in the phlegm
Well this is the most terrifying thread I've stumbled upon. I've had a chronic cough that began ever since I was 17 (am now 23) and contracted mono/epstein barr which also resulted in near liver failure and hepatitis due to tylenol.
I have had several types of weird mucus that I force myself to kind of hack up - it's very different from a normal cough, it's like I have to hack something out of my lower throat.
I've had extremely hard balls of mucus and other times, exactly what you describe, this weird jelly-like substance that is different from the mucus that encases it. Until now, I never even considered that they may be worms, but after having mono (and practically living near a toilet because my body was expelling everything), I had this strange, ravenous desire to eat raw meat, and lots of it. Dunno if this was iron deficiency, but it was a primal urge that did not even feel like it was coming from me, it actually felt like my brain was being taken over by something, idk I was pretty feverish so who knows. I obliged this urge and had several rare/medium rare meats after I could eat again. I mention these details because I wonder if the toilet, meat, and extremely compromised body had anything to do with contracting something.
Now I am absolutely horrified that this may be the source of my chronic mucus woes, but also excited because if so, then now I have something to target.
Have any of you heard of Dr Robert Cassar and his emphasis on how everyone has parasites? This is how I came to this thread, and I'm really starting to wonder if I should take some
parasite cleanse or simply adopt a high raw fruit/veggie diet.
