Elecampane is a good choice and I just recently got a tip to use a nebulizer with saline and a drop of peroxide if 35% food grade. They do not offer/sell saline dispensers anymore so it must be the saline for use of a neti-pot.
You would have to have this machine for asthma.
Oxygen is better absorbed through the lungs, I have found the mister for colds in a bedroom with the door shut and peroxide to be less effective but merely for colds and again it depends on the model one has purchased to be more or less effective.
