If you are only a new testament believer and not a full bible believer, then you will not see the whole picture of who Jesus is, what His mission was nor have a full understanding of what "God-fearing" is.
Go to church sometime and spend time with people who believe the bible is full of God's message to us. See for yourself whether you think they are God-fearing in the way you think that it means. Do you see me cowering in a corner somewhere, too afraid to call on the name and power of Jesus. Who would I be if I had that type of fear that you speak of?
Does David sound fearful of God when he says this?
Psalm 139:14
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
It has to do with respect and awe of the Almighty. David was praising God with joy over being created. I see no worldly fear in that, nor in any christian.
If what you say is true and there are things missing in the bible by evil people who don't want the Truth to be passed on from Jesus' time, then God is truly laughing at their silliness for leaving in the one thing that really mattered and that was salvation. The salvation message is still there for all to see and believe on the name of Jesus.
Now if you tell me that the salvation message is the part that you disagree with and say that it was put there to enslave us, then you and I have a lot more talking to do...don't you think?
