While I do see some possible improvements in what you present, I do not buy voodoo economics, mumbo-jumbo, or mamby pamby.

If your unit produces even the slightest amount of silver over what it consumes, go to mass production. You could make a fortune off of the excess silver. Even better if it does the same with gold, platinum, or paladium.
