I think what all of us see is really just different people sharing the gospel within the strength of the gift God has given them. Plus people wanting the gospel presented to them in a way that seems more to their comfort level or where they are in the Lord.
Not that I don't respect Heidi's ministry but I could not sit there for hours listening to her personal testimony over and over again, however, I have no reason to doubt her sincerity. I do pray she has more meat to share than just her testimony if she is a teacher/preacher. She may very well have more and I have not witnessed it as of yet. I do however love the fruit she produces. Depending on the gift...every believer will produce different fruit. We just want to make sure that we use them when God gives them.
For myself...just being a Texan and more pragmatic in nature, causes someone like me to seek similar people who I can fellowship with and learn with. The Lord guides our lives that way so we would understand Him better.
I have never been of the belief that people have to join an organized church to find Jesus....I sure didn't find Him that way. However, when you live in a community of believers where most lips praise the Lord on a daily basis, creates a wonderful environment to live in and something you do not want to lose...however, this very environment may very well set up a believer as a terrible missionary but may make a wonderful evangelist. There is a difference. Billy Graham being an example.
I will agree all christians need a closer walk with the Lord and once they do on a regular basis, many will get rid of the extra false understandings that stand in the way of seeing the bigger picture of what Christ wants for us.
