Christian witness and baptism in the Holy Spirit.
Hi MST,
Thanks for your response. I think I pretty much agree with you. I'm sure there are many good ministers that have surrendered to Christ but still have their own personal battles that they go through. There are good people in the church that are being led by the Holy Spirit but may not have yet received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Of course they should let the light of what they have received so far shine to others as well, even though they have not yet been perfected in Christ.
As you said, there are also many people in the church that are like the Pharisees that have no understanding of Christ but who preach and minister as if they are called by Him. My biggest issue is with these type of people, especially those that preach not from desire to help others but instead out of their own desire to increase their own ego. Unfortunately, people like this are not even aware of their sinful nature and really believe that they are good people doing the work of God.
But I still think that no one should preach the Word of Christ unless they are specifically called by Christ to do so. I am aware that some people believe they are called by Christ but are deceived by themselves. Not much you can tell these people. But at least people who are preaching the gospel because they just think that is what you are supposed to do as a Christian and not because they have received a calling from Christ in their heart, these people need to stop preaching and find the light of Christ. I am saying this specifically because I have been guilty of this myself. I was going around telling everyone to believe in Jesus when I had not even fully accepted him into my own life. This is hypocritical and a sin. Now I am focusing on receiving Christ into my own heart and when I can fully manifest His light and He calls me to do His work, only then will I do it. I believe this is the proper way.
