Re: How Christians should act
Yes, I do believe the Holy Spirit is available to all, even those that haven't received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. That is what God uses to guide us back to Him.
Personally, I don't think every Christian that believes they are saved are in fact saved, they may be on the path to salvation or they may not even be on the path, according to the desire of their heart. Yes, the Bible says, all we have to do is have faith in Christ to be saved. But what does it actually mean to have faith in Christ? Does it mean that we just have to believe in the facts that a person named Jesus Christ died for our sins and then you are saved? According to my interpretation, no. To have faith in Christ means to have faith only in Christ, so much so that faith in every other thing in our lives are destroyed all our attachments to everything that keep us in earthly, fleshy bondage. This is why we have to understand the meaning of scriptures in our hearts as opposed to in our minds and in the tradition of our fathers that have been passed down from generation to generation.
My problem is with people that have faith in Christ only in their minds, in a superficial manner. They think that if they believe in certain facts, this will somehow lead to their salvation. I know some people think this way, because this is kind of the way that I thought at one time, although I was not really aware that there were other ways that you could have faith. Why? Because none of the people teaching me were aware of this either or any of the people that I worshiped with. Then these people like myself go out and teach others to believe in Christ but because they have no real understanding of what that really means, they can only spread their own superficial understanding of the Gospel, which is really not the Gospel at all but man's version of the Gospel, which is an abomination. In this way, man can teach all the true concepts of faith, repentance, baptism, belief in Christ as the savior but still be an abomination and unable to save even one soul. I am not saying everyone is this way. There are certainly many true believers doing a lot of good. But I am saying that there are a lot of professed 'Christians' preaching the gospel that are an abomination and need to repent.
