Re: Fruit, does it need stomach acid?

Yes, I think generally, most fruit will be much easier to digest than other food such as meat and grains. Certainly, some fruits such as papaya have certain enzymes that assist in digestion, I know there are others that are helpful, don't know if ALL fruits have this capacity, but possibly. But yes, of course like all foods, even fruit still requires gastric juice to be broken down and properly digested. Personally, I feel way better overall with fruit in my diet, it is very beneficial in keeping the bowels regular, which removes toxins and over time can help to increase digestive capacity. I have found that some fruits my body just doesn't like, such as peaches, I have never been able to digest them at all.
