Re: who are those people

You're right trapper, Iodine probably never put anyone in the hospital and given that some people can see significant benefits and it doesn't kill anyone, it is probably not the worst stuff in the word, but I do think there are serious problems with taking iodine. Specifically, I believe it can over-stimulate the thyroid gland and at worst possibly cause actual hyperthyroidism or at least mimic the symptoms of hyperthyroidism. The symptoms that I see on the Iodine forum time and time again are fatigue, losing weight, heart palpitations, loss of hair, intestinal discomfort, depressions, muscle weakness, all very similar to hyperthyroidism. Now of course these symptoms are a bit generic and one could argue that just because people complain of one or two of these it doesn't mean that they are necessarily suffering from hyperthyroidism. Personally, when I did take Iodine way back in the day I did notice a few of these, initially I had increased energy but after a bit, noticed minor pain in the thyroid, swollen, red lymph nodes, intestinal discomfort, and fatigue. Stopped taking iodine and most symptoms went away except swollen lymph nodes.

I am not accusing you or anyone specifically and I don't keep track of who exactly is recommending this or that or giving specific advice. But for the Iodine Forum as a whole, when people are complaining of symptoms that correlate to hyperthyroidism, I believe the best advice anyone can give then is simply to stop taking iodine and anyone who's symptoms are severe enough will do so themselves anyway.

"a question for you. if iodine is that harmful then why is PIMA SSKI still on the books and in the pharmacy and prescribed to adults to the tune of 1.8 grams of KI in a day for use as an expectorant?" --This doesn't prove anything to me as it would be the exception to the rule of something you can buy at a pharmacy that is actually safe for the body.

"one last thing. there ARE shills and we are targeted."

If this is true, that is just terrible that anyone would go out of their way to purposely deceive someone to prove their point.
