If you have genuine hypoglycemia, carbs are tough and do need to be eaten with fat and protien to stop the Sugar explosing and help the system maintain homeostatis.

Carbs are essential to life, I dont think anyone can argue that, I guess thats why the Schawrbien Principle diet is successful...but like anything, its not an overnight cure, itll take time for the system to heal itself.

Fruit however is a Sugar explosion! I fall asleep in a horrible nightmare for two hours after eating fruit then wake up with my heart pounding and heavy shaking. Thats reactive hypoglycemia for ya.

As for the melatonin, yeah trial and error, try to stay as low as you need, its a great antioxidant too, but it makes me pee big time!
