I loved both of your testimonies. I can imagine all you went through and how it would lead you to depend on God for everything. What did your husband die from?

Hearing that voice telling you to read your Bible was an awesome supernatural experience, and then God enabled you to understand it when you couldn't before!

My first Bible was a Living Bible, I know now that it isn't a great translation, but at that time it was something I could really understand. It is the one that is all marked up and underlined. I have more literal translations now, but I still have that one too. I love the Bible. Jesus is the Word made flesh, right (:
