I think all we are doing here is stating that we all need to be wise in choosing where we get our spiritual knowledge. I think there is a big trend in self study or small groups or home groups these days. Mainly because people have given up on churches that send them on missions that are not that person's calling. In other words...it's a matter of telling the Pastor or church leader...NO!...when you "know" what your calling is. If they do not take your NO! for an answer, then the leadership may be too controlling.
However that being said...many are called to serve others within the body of the church. That IS their calling...all the while sharing the gospel as they go. It will be different for each person. And only God can show us what those things are within our lives. There is nothing wrong with leadership within the church body, for it points to how heaven is set up, but it is not to be abused or misused.
