Re: New miracle nutrient for AF sufferers!
I recommend a high-carb/low-fat diet, so keep high-fat foods like dairy and oils to a minimum. Those low-carb diets (which are high-fat) are the 2nd biggest dietary problems I find around here next to under-eating:

I don't think a little
Sugar to help sweeten things up will hurt as long as you're eating enough wholesome foods to get enough calories and not eating too much fat which slows glucose absorption into the cells and causes high blood
Sugar that leads to things like obesity and diabetes.
I think foods like pasta that are thought of as "refined" get a bad rap too. Obviously whole wheat pasta would be better, but when people are eating meals with "refined" carbs, like white pasta or white potatoes, they are also eating tons of fat with it. People have a baked potato topped with loads of butter, sour creme, and bacon bits, but they blame the potato for causing them to get fat and have health problems. A potato is only 1% fat, but make potato chips by frying them in oil and suddenly those potatoes become upwards of 40% fat, but it's the white potatoes fault lol!
Check out interviews by Dr. John McDougall of the 'Starch Solution' diet for understanding why it's excess fat in the diet that's causing health problems, not foods high in carbs.
But the biggest problem is not getting enough calories in general, or any diet will fail.
