Re: Are you already overstimulated?
Can I ask a question, do you or have you ever had late stage AF? You are beginining to sound a bit like our friend Natway, he never had AF but claims it dosen't exist and fruit is the answer.
I think you need to some reading of the physiological effects and state of the body when under extreme duress and AF.
Unfortunately you are basing your opinion on a thought and a mythical theory centuries old when conditions like AF were far more rare, if they existed at all. Also not taking into account the physiological state of an AF body. This is unfortunately why a lot of 'alternative practitioners' actually make people far worse off with their pots, potions and diets - they do not understand the condition enough. This is back to our discussion over Ashawaganda. So many practitioners would recommend this for benzo withdrawal (i think you may of also) however because of its effects on the body, being a heavy gaba antagonist, it could possibly be one of the worse and potentionally dangerous things someone could give to a person withdrawing from benzo's. Again, it should be the basic requirement for alternative practitioners to understand the chemical effects of herbs, and the condition they are treating. This is why true ND's spend four years in university, but many of the so-called Nutritional balancing 'practitioners' and others, only know their process. Its quite criminal really.
I agree that fruits and carbs are easily digested and are a good call for many illness, thats why I don't actually disagree that a plant based diet is actually a good idea, for some illness, but definitely not AF whatsoever. Fruits are extremely stimulating because cortisol is required to balance blood
Sugar and produce insulin - so by eating fruit, you are directly stimulating the adrenal glands. This is basic 101, even MD's get taught at school.
Im not sure why you haven't read anything on the adrenals role in blood
Sugar if you are debating diets, metabolism and digestion, but I suggest reading up, I type a few of those words into google and got hundreds of direct hits.
But I agree, Dr Wilson dosen't quite yet yin and yang at all, however his diet is mostly cooked vegetables, the protein is there to balance the blood
Sugar for longer periods of time. I do like Lams approach more as he includes carbs with each meal.
