Re: SEVERE TOOTH PAIN SINCE AMALGAM REMOVAL.
Replaced with what? I hope something different! Was there any protection (google for "protection
Amalgam removal" or something similar)? If not, and actually even if only less, you've been exposed to a lot of mercury. Solid pieces that you ended up swallowing (too tiny to notice often) don't matter, they'll just "pass through", what is really bad is the mercury vapor created by the drilling.
Yes it (the acute mercury poisoning) will settle, eventually - but much of it will still be inside your body. The ONLY way to get them out are chelators. With that I voice no opinion whether or not you should do that. I did but the process sucks and takes years.
Basically, the most important thing to take away: There is no good and safe path for you.
I've had things "settle" 15 years or so ago, when I didn't know the bad symptoms I experienced came from the (unprotected)
Amalgam removal. However, while those immediate symptoms (sudden - basically almost overnight - very bad pollen allergy, really bad joint pains, extreme insomnia, to name the major ones) all went away (very slowly, over 10 years). However A LOT of tiny but continuously growing issues crept up, most of which I only learned to associate with mercury when they all went away within a year of getting DMPS (the best mercury chelator out there) infusions. So I would conclude that waiting for it to go away is going to leave you with a false sense of healing.
