White potatoes are actually one of the lowest in natural chemicals yet highest in nutrients. True I am recommending easy to digest foods but the real object is to avoid phenols, amines, and salicylates. Its not the arsenic in the rice its the phenols that occur naturally in the husk. Most veggies with color contain high amounts of salicylates, which are the plant's natural defense system since they don't have claws or teeth. Most people have no problem handling regular amounts of sals but many with adrenal, thyroid, and/or mast cell issues cannot break down these chemicals properly
