Re: 22 years old. Very Ill. Extreme Fatigue. Digestive Issues Etc. Need advice.
That is why I was on DMPS and infusions for the first 1.5-2 years. I only switched to Cutler rounds and DMSA when I felt that DMPS infusions were "overkill", and lower but more long-term doses helped more.
By the way, the first time I got ALA was in an (extra) infusion, very high dosage, my doctor explained that SOME medication, like ALA, is deliberately used in much higher dosage than normal for best therapeutic effect. Even when the last drops were flowing into my blood stream I felt some kind of pressure in the bones around my nose, something I had never felt before. It started a long period of detox in that area, in those bones. How do I know it's detox - well, that area is just 1/3
inch from the area of the bones in my jaw that have been proven to be "mushy" (the injection needle went right into the bone), and lots of details that would make this too long. Anyway, that bone is almost normal again, the doctor had a harder and harder time penetrating into the bone (I got DMPS injected into the jaw, but not deliberately into the bones, it ended up inside only because the bones where mushy), and the pain I had occasionally had in there for decades is gone. So ALA at least in my case definitely gave a huge boost that started something in those bones, and (done earlier) the DMPS injections in that area also were of great value (this is relevant only for people who had
Amalgam fillings of course). I wanted to add this little piece of text only to make sure ALA gets a share of the success story (the doctor gave me ALA only after 1.5 years of DMPS, should not be used too soon).
