Following your logic, if one is eating a toxic/sad diet and needs supplements to stay healthy, then a seller of supplements is "okay in your book" if he recommends and sells a product that he has no idea of it's origins, it's level of chemical toxins, and/or it's potential for harm.
I see. sigh. Cheaper and toxic gets the job done...so why sweat the details?
And here I thought the producers and sellers of supplements should be held accountable for the safety of their products...silly me.
